About Me

Bio:

Kathryn O'Halloran is a writer living in Melbourne, Australia. Her chequered work history includes time as a computer programmer, a phone psychic, a mystery shopper, a community television star, a maker of psychedelic fake fur handbags and wielding a machete on a vegetable production line.

She grew up in a small town in Tasmania, if you could say she grew up at all. She hopes never to return there.

Her loves include Japan, Korean BBQ, polka dots and pretty dresses. Her musical loves are dominated by Arashi. Her literary tastes include John Irving, Haruki Murakami and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

She was going to include a FAQ section until she realised the question she was most frequently asked is 'does this tram go to Melbourne Uni?'

On Erotica:

I kind of fell into writing erotica and had the joy of being published in several anthologies by well-known editors and winning a few competitions.

Rather than write just a story with lots of sex in it, I've become interested in exploring the boundaries of sex writing.  I don't mean by getting more extreme with type of sex. I'd write about but the experience of desire, the build up and the anticipation.

Recently, I collected up the very best of my short stories and published them as an ebook on Amazon. Several of these have been published before.  Several don't really fit into existing erotica sub-genres.  It's not all alpha-males and rewritten fan fiction.

If you are interested in some well-written erotica, don't hestiate to buy my book! It's available here.
